Around Istanbul

We caught a quick lunch of traditional gyros sandwiches and got to try the national drink Ayrun ( pronounced: I-ran).  It is a plain yougert drink a bit like an Indian lassi.  Ok, but not my favorite.  I prefer flavored yougert drinks.

This is a famous old fountain.  Water was available from a spigot in the middle of the wall, and in the windows on the corners, drinks were available to the public free of charge - cool drinks in the summer and warm drinks in the winter (not clear on the specifics about the beverages.)
