Trafalgar Square

It was a bit disappointing today to arrive at Trafalgar square only to find half of it taken over by a giant portable stage.  The London symphony is scheduled to play there tomorrow night.  This meant that the wonderful giant lions were in accessible and almost unphotographable.  We got a few shots with the group by the fountains.

My favorite part of squares like this across Europe are the street artists that show up.  Yoda was hovering in the air for photos as was a scary gold painted guy.  I really like the performance artists who engage the crowd and dance or do some kind of gymnastic feats to music.

It was nice to have our picnic lunch here and just crowd watch after the National Gallery.
