Grocery stores

We found the local grocery store and had a great time looking at all the different items available.  You know you're in Italy when you find 50 variety of cheese and pasta in the local grocery store

Delaney and I tried Italian chocolate today.  It was good, but our favorite is still E Wedel from Poland (closely rivaled by Milka from Austria)

Loved the names of these tic tacs!  Pineapple, mango and red orange flavor.

More interesting grocery store discoveries...
parmasean cheese in a gratable stick (plastic tube that you can hold to grate).  Far easier than trying to grate a triangular wedge.

Lots of fancy cake mixes.  These take me back to my time in Poland where cake is THE dessert of choice and a plain cake without layers doesn't exist as an option.

These people like olives and tuna!  This isn't even at "Sam's club" - its just a local grocery with a giant 6 pack of olives!

Figs and fig-flavored items are popular in Italy.  Fig jam.

All of the items on these shelves are different varieties of honey!

How many different kinds of Magnum bars have you seen?  How about with Pistachios??

These are croissants with red jam, apricot jam, and chocolate fillings - pretty popular.
