Sensory overload

After a few days in the city, I have to say that being on the streets really results in sensory overload very quickly.  After several hours I just want to find a quiet, peaceful place and curl up away from the noise, people and traffic.  In some cities, the busyness is energizing (and eventually exhausting), but here it feels different.  After David's bag was stolen on the second day and hearing stories of others who have had bad experiences, we are just very wary and cautious, which wears us out by the end of the day.
