Typical Argentine?

I have been unable to find a single feature that I could describe as 'typical' of the people of Argentina, either physical or fashion-wise.  People wear anything and everything, colors, styles, etc.  People have very different features as well. There are however few people of African descent here, and few Asians.  I feel like I blend in here better than many other places that I have visited, which might explain why shopkeepers address me in Spanish and seem surprised when I reply in English (or broken Spanish). A friend of mine noted that people in BA tend to 'dress up', but after spending time in Milan this summer, we have very different images of what 'dressed up' looks like - ha!
