Parc Ciutadella

After following the protestors down the Ramblas and observing the Pro Spain rally, we made our way to Park Ciutadella.  Given the nice weather and that it was Sunday, this was totally the place to be.  Tons of families and young people parked under every shady tree and strolling the paths.  The group relaxed for a bit, then struck out to explore.  They discovered a pond where you could rent row boats.  There was also a festival with puppet shows, magic shows, and live music.

This little girl climbed this small tree and was hollering at her parents to look at her.  This could have been Delaney several years ago.
This was my favorite view as I lay back on my pack and relaxing while the group rowed around.
The ducks were well fed in this pond (and the park pigeons looked fat too).
At one point a mini procession appeared accompanied by pipes and drums.  These two large figures had people under them and were doing a kind of dance to the music and were followed by all sorts of curious people.  I'm assuming they are dressed in some kind of traditional garb and were accompanied by traditional music.
Here's one of the guys with his pipe/horn like instrument.

These kids were my favor part of the 'parade'.  Riding on their dad's shoulders and clapping their hands and bouncing.!
A fountain we found in the park.
