Successful navigation in a new city

We were able to use the bus system without any trouble.  Most of them are double deckers.  David and I sat up top and I noticed that each bus stop has a  sign way up high on the pole so riders on the top can see which stop the bus is at.
We chose to listen to this guy who was working it instead of the fire swallowing street artist across the street.

Typical architecture around the city. Quite attractive.

St Giles Cathedral (we'll be worshipping here on Sunday)

All of the "Closes" are little alley ways that run down from the hill to what used to be a loch (lake) in the valley. Most are less than 6 ft wide with very steep drops.

Old phone booths have been converted to a new purpose
