Climbing to the top - my favorite!

Made it to the top of Arthur's Seat this morning.  This is a view from several miles away taken from the coast (we are actually staying much closer than this, but this was a great distance view). You can see there are two peaks.  We hiked past the first one (in a saddle between them), and to the top of the one on the left.
A view as we approached the park area from the seat.

The path was gravelly with stone steps going most of the way up.  You can't see them well, but the field was covered with wild foxglove flowers - beautiful!

This view is taken from about halfway up.  The ridgeline you see is the same low peak you saw in the first photo, but this time looking back toward the coast (which you can see in the distance).
In the distance on the left side of the photo is Edinburgh Castle.

Great view from the top!

Facebook recently reminded me that 1 year ago I was posting a video from the top of a mountain peak in Utah.  Here's another 360 from a 'mountain' top.  This is getting to be a June habit I think.

We weren't sure if we were going to get rained on today since the weather report called for 70% chance of rain, but the guy at the front desk said "rain" just means drizzle most of the time.  So glad we chanced it, it was a beautiful hike!
