We've visited the Countdown and New World grocery stores in Rotorua and Wellington - wow! Full stocked stores that feel A LOT like home. They start you in the produce section and force you through all the aisles. Lots of int'l options, but lots of familiar foods too. [disappointing footnote: the mac and cheese was NOT very tasty]
We also stocked up on fresh fruit, also all grown in NZ. I'm going to have to look up to see how self sufficient NZ is in terms of food production.
 
SOOOO many choices of potato chips. This is totally the favorite chip around here. A few Dorito choices, a few corn chips, some strange Cheeto-like things, a few pretzels, but shelves and shelves full of different brands of potato chips.
