Day 5 - Connemara National Park > Donegal

After visiting Kylemore Abbey, we headed to Connemara National Park (just around the corner). The highest rocky bump in the center of the horizon is our destination.
Approaching the overlook.
The paths were lined with stone or gravel.  (Have I mentioned how much stone there is here!)
The longer hike was to the summit of this peak.  It was very alluring in the distance and would have offered an even more amazing view, but we simply ran out of time (and energy, if we are honest), and it was rainy.

The view at the overlook was still great.

Travel over some bog lands.

Some bogs that had been harvested (but not recently because the moss had grown back over them)

They were not far away, but didn't want us getting close.

We finished off the day with a three hour long drive to Donegal.  A good amount of rain and some beautiful clouds.

This place was so much fun.  It was all bee themed, very roomy and sparkly clean.

Nice back patio we didn't get a chance to  use.

We decided on dinner in since it was 9:00 pm and we were in the countryside with not obviously open spots to dine.  Glad we had gotten some pasta and sauce for such a contingency.
