Our hostel in Barcelona is wonderful! Every one of the staff I have interacted with has been great. They got us checked in and stowed our bags so we could get out and see the city.
the rooms are great! Separate showers, toilets and sink so someone can use them simultaneously instead of waiting for someone to get out of the bathroom. Each bed has a HUGE drawer under it for luggage and stuff. The rooms are air conditioned (and it works well!). In fact the staff comes into each room around 6 pm and closes and locks the Windows. This is to keep the neighborhood quiet and avoid noise violations. The staff made sure to emphasize that the cops will issue noise violation tickets to individual rooms if there is a problem. We slept so well with cold air and no street or neighbor noise, it was wonderful.
The group opted to eat dinner at the hostel the first night. 12E for a three course meal. A creamy soup, paella, and creme brulee. All served by a friendly bar tender who kept telling everyone to Turn UP their beers and Sangrias.
Breakfast included crepes, tortillas, bread, cheese, fruit, yougurt, cereal, and juice. I made a Nutella crepe and will do so again each morning! Yum!
