Beach front home in Brewster

We drove out to the Cape after a day at the aquarium and I was reminded again of why I love the Cape so much.  I guess the word I would use is "quaint", but it is beautiful!  Lush and green with flowers blooming in every yard and every business.  The hydrangeas are amazing!

Nearly every home has flowers growing beautifully.  The unpainted, weathered gray shingles are the traditional architecture here.

We twisted our way around small neighborhoods and backroads to our rented beach house.  It is in a perfect location.  We simply walk down a short path and we are on the beach.  No lugging things for the day into a car, from the parking lot to the beach, and back home again.

The house is on the Bay side of the Cape, meaning that we totally get to enjoy the differences between high and low tides.  You can walk out on the sands at least 1-2 miles during low tide, and then slowly follow it back in again.  Its like a bathtub draining and filling over and over again.  The water is quite warm and totally swimmable.

Near high tide

about 2 hours before low tide is reached.
